Neurotoxin treatments use botulinum toxin type A, a purified protein that’s been used in medicine for decades. In small, precise doses, it temporarily relaxes the specific muscles responsible for lines around the eyes, forehead, and brows. At Resilience Integrative Wellness, we currently offer Jeuveau®, an FDA approved option many people know as an alternative to Botox®.
When those muscles relax, the skin above them smooths out. That’s why your provider injects the muscle itself rather than the wrinkle. The effect develops gradually over the days after your visit, leaving you with a softer, more relaxed look. Jeuveau® is FDA approved to temporarily improve the appearance of certain facial lines in adults.
